How much does the tour cost?
Standard adult price: 19,900 ISK, including applicable VAT. Check the booking calendar for your date, availability and final total. Price checked 18 September 2026.
How many guests are in each minibus?
A maximum of 18 guests in a 19-passenger minibus. We keep one spare seat available for comfort.
How long is the tour?
A 3–6 hour Northern Lights adventure. Most tours finish before the six-hour maximum; guides may extend the hunt when conditions look promising. Sightings are not guaranteed.
What time does the tour depart?
From November through February, departures are at 18:00 and 20:00 Iceland time. Departure times during the rest of the season vary with darkness. Select your date in the booking calendar and follow the pickup time on your confirmation.

What happens if we do not see the Northern Lights?
Guests who attend their original tour without a naked-eye aurora sighting receive unlimited free retries for up to two years from that tour, subject to availability. Faint naked-eye aurora counts as a sighting; camera-only aurora does not. Request a retry before 12:00 noon on the day you wish to join. Retries are personal, have no cash value and do not apply to missed tours or pickups. No sighting alone does not qualify for a refund.
What is the cancellation policy?
The standard direct-booking rate offers a full refund until 24 hours before departure. Rescheduling less than 24 hours before departure is non-refundable unless Aurora Viking expressly agrees otherwise. If Aurora Viking cancels your original booking, choose another available departure or a full refund. Courtesy reschedules do not restore lost refund rights. Check your booking confirmation and full terms and conditions for the rules applying to your booking.
Pickup in Reykjavík
We pick up from selected locations in central Reykjavík. Be ready at the pickup time on your confirmation and use the pickup map to find your stop. Winter roads can cause small delays.
Good to Know Before Booking
Northern Lights sightings are not guaranteed. Dress warmly and use the bathroom before pickup. The route and viewing stops depend on the conditions each evening.
